Dale Hollow Trout
About a week or two ago, someone here posted some pictures of several very nice smallmouth they caught along with a picture of one heck of a nice trout in the 5lb category. Nice job to who ever that was that posted the pictures...anyway's, on to my question.
My question goes out to the guys who have fished Dale for a while now. How often do you guys catch trout down at Dale? Do you all ever hear of anyone fishing for trout at Dale or do most guy's just happen to catch a trout here and there while they're fishing for smallmouth?

It's the second or third trout I've caught at dale with the FNF in the last 10 trips. I've never targeted trout there. If you want to catch trout, go on the Cumberland River. I was talking with John Rush (Rainbow Guide Service) about a month ago who said the Trout were hitting really good. I ran into him at Grumpy's while eating breakfast.

RE: Dale Hollow Trout
I second the Cumberland river idea. It's stocked with 150,000 Rainbows and 50,000 Browns per year. Great place to fish, but check the new regs. They changed from last year.

RE: Dale Hollow Trout
I agree with you all on the Cumberland River for trout...I've been down there quite a bit over the past 12 to 15 years...I was just trying to get a feel for how many trout are caught out of Dale...Thanks for your responses!
