Ramps on Blood River
I will be crappie fishing in Arpil and I was wondering where a good ramp is on Kentucky Lake. We will be fishing on Blood River. We've been going the last couple of years and have been using one place but with had problems there (not enough parking and problems with the owner). We stay at the State Park now so we just need a place to launch the boat. Thanks.

RE: Ramps on Blood River
It's been awhile since I have been back in Blood River, but isn't there two marinas back in there?
Not too sure how big your boat is either, but if you are talking about Kenlake as the state park where you are staying, you can make the run down to blood river pretty quickly.
Good luck,
Danny

Wildcat has a good ramp, follow the signs towards Miller Golf Course (Murray State's home course), then just past there, there is a sign and aturn-off right across from the Wildcat Onestop gas station/store.

Try Irwin Cobb Marina at 153 Resort Rd. unless Walter (the owner) is the guy you had problems with.He has always treated us very well.

Thanks everybody. I think I'll try the Irvin Cobb ramp. They do have plenty of parking don't they? We had problems at Kentucky Beach Resort. Other people might really like this place but we've tried it twice and have had problems both times.

Yes there is enough parking, I have never seen the lot completly full. Tell Walter the Kraft brothers sent you......We come from the same town.
