Green on Friday, Getting better
50 degree water temp.once again throw small grubs with only a few crappie the 12 to 15 others were bass.I love it,seems I found most of the fish in the rocks and steep drops.Largest was 3 and a half, off point with gravel bottem.
Thought I had a few good ones but they were only drums.Biggest was 7#.
Lets hear a few more reports from Green, there was enough boats at Holmbs to hear how someone else did.
Is it better down in Robinson Creek this time of year?
Thanks
Tim
I would really like to get into the eyes
RE: Green on Friday, Getting better
Tried it today at Holmes Bend. There was a Muskie tournament today so there were several boats. Many people probably stayed home to watch the "Big Blue". We didn't catch that many keepers but threw back a bunch of 7-8.5 inch fish. We had 8 keepers with three largemouth and a couple of whites all caught on minnows. Next door neighbor's dad caught 20 keepers today but didn't hear where at Green he fished.

RE: Green on Friday, Getting better
Don't know anything about Muskie fishing, but my neighbor's dad used minnows just like we did. He was fishing on the main lake at Holmes Bend. I've only been down to Robinson Creek a couple of times, but did well both times fishing a couple of main lake cuts and the wall on the right. It's located to the right of Emerald Isle ramp and on a straight shot toward the State Park on the right. (First big bend as you leave the ramp on the right) There is a little slough directly across the lake from the dock that I picked up fish in as well. It was a little later in April that I caught fish there, though.
