Back From Florida

Just got back from florida and wanted to let you know I am still searching for that elusive double digit bass. I got closer this year though and cought a 9.25 my present big bass. I guess better luck next year.

Good job on catching a 9.25! If you want that 10+ go to Lake El Salto, Mexico. I had 3 over 8, 2 over 9 and an 11.2 in 3 days of fishing. We were there in July 2005. Check out [url]www.anglersinn.com[/url] for more info.

Can you give some more details on the mexico trip? The website was under construction when i went to it.

What lake did you fish in fla? Walk-in-water?

Walk in water yes. 7.5 came from there. 9.25 came from crooked creek (water still way up). Also fished 1 day at kississmmi river not much luck. Can't wait till next year to get 7 guys together at one time again.

Thats what makes it great! We went down earlier in the year and met up with a few buddies that live down there. Even took the kids so they could hit Disney. Our biggest was 5lbs but it was fun and the weather was perfect.

Like any lake, El Salto has its ups and downs. My father went this past November and his biggest was 8 pounds. When I was there in July the big fish were feeding daily. On our first day I had an 8 and an 11.2. One Day 2 I had 11 fish over 5 pounds.

May - July is really good for big fish (At least one double digit fish was weighed in every day). There are about 20-25 fisherman at Angler's Inn at one time. The guides are great and it is a 1st class operation.

Check out flights to Mazatlan. It's a 2 hours bus ride from the airport (Anlger's Inn picks you up). Once you arrive in Mexico you have nothing to worry about but catching bass! Catching 60-80 per day was average. My boat caught 100 on Day 1. Average size was 3 pounds.

Expect to pay $2500 - $3000 for everything.
