Hey Kyle,
I went back to the big lake this morning... man is it clear. The gravel has settled a lot and we could get a trailer back there, but I still think the "ramp" would be too shallow for launching the Nitro.
I found out my neighbor has been gigging supper for a few weeks now, and has bush hogged some great access to some other lakes/ponds back there. I don't know if they have fish in them, but man, would love to find out.
I figure there is probably some fish in them, just not sure of the species. I think one of the bodies of water is created by a beaver dam, and that one may not have fish in it... but did see a boil. It could have been a duck though, as I did see several small wood ducks, and man did see some sweet geese!! Also on the big lake, I talked with Pop about how big he thought it was, and he thinks at least 40 + acres. We gotta fish this. I know this one has fish in it. I did not see any aquatic vegetation yet, but you could see where some emergent shoreline grass was in the water.
I was thinking of maybe heading to KY Lake this Sunday, warmer temps predicted, but might just throw a couple rods in the truck and head back there.
How about you, planning to fish this weekend?
Give me a call if you are interested in fishing. Even if you prefer the big lakes on Sunday. I'd love for you to teach me to catch those KY Lake hogs.
Danny
