I went Saturday. The water temp was 47-49.5. There was a little tournament going on, and I spoke to several fisherman who had not had a single bite. One boat had two fish with a 2 and 1/2 being their biggest. I had one bite flipping a jig (missed her because I had gone three hours without a smell.) The fish should move up this week though. I would expect some big girls to be up this weeekend. Good Luck!
I'm thinking of goin' out there this Sunday... hoping the weather is halfway nice. Never been before though, sorry I can't help with much info.
Well I finally got my first day of fishin on Cedar. I must say I found me a honey hole. I caught fish on a jig and spinnerbait. In several different locations on the lake. I ran into another fisherman that really helped after I told him it was my first time on the lake. I watched him catch 2 fish while we were talking so I had to believe him. It was a simple pattern to follow. I caught quiet a few fish yesterday 03/27 and most was his pattern. When he caught up with me I offered him a steak dinner for the help. Needless to say I had a blast. At launch water was 47 degrees, 49.5 by midday and thats when I found this nice fisherman. I talked to 2 other boats that had over 10 fish. NO KEEPERS however. But when ya go to a lake in this part of the state, this time of year and catch a dozen or so fish from 2.5 to 4 lbs, it makes ya wanna go back for more. And I am thinking Friday will be the day. Bass report on Cedar from me is outstanding fishing. Loved it.
By the way there is a real nice fellow with a bait shop right there on the road to the ramp with alot of goodies to include hamburgers and hot dogs. Ya could actually walk to the shop from the lake. He has some free maps that are very good maps of the lake as well. Also has a few camper hook ups.

O.K. I gotta be the first to ask and really I'm not trying to be a smartarse but what does this have to do with Guist Creek? Nice report though.
Checkin yall out haha
I went out on Sunday. I caught one 5.10lb on an AllTerrain Jig & craw chunk 1/4oz. I missed 3 others. One I know would have gone 4+. Water temp topped out at 53F on my gauges.
There was a tournament out I think 24 boats, only 2 fish weighted in for a total of 2 1/2 pounds or so. This was per the guys at the dock.
ANYONE KNOW WHO WAS THERE, AND THE RESULTS??
I was able to get out on Monday also, and the temp topped out at 56F. Water is down a little bit, and still murky. Only managed 3 bites. Small keepers. I fished everything but a top water. Thought would have better luck, with the temp up a little more.
I'd say this weekend would be good. A far as pattern; I'm sure it will change by then. My bet would be on spinnerbait or crankbait.
Hope this helps. And please give us a report, good or bad.
