I bought a new Lowrance gps unit and am going to get a chip for it. Any feedback on anyone's experience with them would be appreciated. I am thinking Navionics Hot maps.
THanks

Go to the website lei-extras.com. From there you can link to the unit you bought and the "extras' that are available for your unit. You can click on the map you desire and it will show you how it looks on the unit. If you are going to use it mostly for fishing I would buy the chip rather than go with the MapCreate software. Just popping in the MMC is much easier.

Don't know how I got around a lake without it.
You can go to www.navionics.com to look at their different Hotmaps products to see what is right for you. They also have the listing of Lakes in each region. All the bigger Lakes in Kentucky are in there
Here are the lists of KY lakes in the Classic and Premium packages..
In the HotMaps Classic:
Barkley
Barren River Lake
Cave Run Lake
Cumberland
Dale Hollow Lake
Green River Lake
Kentucky Lake
Laurel River Lake
Nolin Lake
Ohio River-Smithland Pool
Rough River Lake
Taylorsville Lake
In HotMaps Premium:
All those above... plus
Buckhorn
Fishtrap
Grayson
Green River (not sure why this is listed twice)
Green River (probably Green River above the lake and below?)
Guist Creek Lake
Malone
Williamstown
