The crappie bite is on right now...caught several last weekend on minnows from 8-24ft trolling over or around brush. Water was 51-53. Good Luck and watch out for the logs.
They're biting pretty good now folks. My wife and I caught 42 on Wednesday on minnows and jigs. Went back yesterday with a friend and got 20 again on minnows and jigs 10-15 ft. deep. Had some really nice Crappie yesterday even though we didn't get the number we got on Wednesday. The largest was 14 inches and had many in the 10-12 inch range. Was using chartreuse twister tails and some jigs with spinners.
