Can anyone tell me if the lake is muddy, dingy or clear. I am interested in going fishing but not much of a muddy water kind of guy.

I personally haven't been to rough in 2 weeks but I know the lake and it always stays really muddy for about a week after a big rain. way up in the river in some of the creeks will clear out first of course. but 80% of the lake (rough and north fork) will be chocolate milk for a week or so, always is.
talked to guys that were there Saturday morning - clear end to end - hard to believe with the rain Friday.
Jim - when you going ?

Not true: was there two days ago to check on my cabin and the main lake near Panther Creek was muddy.
Fished rough this weekend, water was stained to muddy back in Tules Creek. Not much luck, so we decided to crappie fish. Caught several in the 4-6ft range on minnows. One bass 15 inches over the creek channel on a minnow. Water temp was 58 in the am and 62 by 1300.
Fished a tournament out of the state park dock Sat. 8th and it took 14lbs plus to win. I fished up in North Fork, water was stained, I thank it was even stained down near dam area. Fishing was slow until after noon. Should get better with the warmer weather this week.
