barkley vs. 7lb 12oz

my wife and i went to barkley thursday morning to get away for a long weekend, she launched me and left to do some shopping, as soon as she left the ramp, my phone rings, did'nt even start my engine, it's my daughter, to tell me she is at the hospital in louisville having labor pains (she's 3 weeks early), and tells me to standby to see if they admit her, well as luck would have it, i have one of the best two hours of fishing in a long long time. and then the phone rings again, you guessed it. we load up, check out of grand rivers inn, head back to lou. for a long night, well at 1:54 am this morning we landed a 7lb. 12oz keeper. mama and grandbaby are doin fine, might sneak back down. anybody got any gas money i can borrow?

Congrats grandpa! I've got a BFL super Tourney the day mine is due(9/22)...that should be interesting, no matter what I will come out with a keeper!

Congrats Holeshot, when my first one was born i was deer hunting left my cell phone in the truck, killed a doe that morning by the time i got to the hospital he was already 5 hours old. had already ate for the fist time, my exwife was not happy, but she told me she would be fine. The divorce was not over that though.

i told my daughter it was a coin flip to whether i stayed or went back home, she won, it was the best 5 out of 9. by the way just visted them again and the doctor said she was perfect so i'm headed back till sunday

Well the lakes are still there, but that moment your daughter was giving birth and knowing her mom and dad were there to support her... well it is gone forever and stored in her memory that you guys came home for HER!!!

Come on back down to the lakes... anytime... they aren't going anywhere.. I HOPE!!
