Props to Bill Smith Jr. of Somerset. He has been fishing the BASSMASTERS tour this year and has made the top 50 cut several times. He earned Big Bass honors yesterday on day 2 of the guntersville tounament with a 6 something and brought 19 and some change to the scales. Im pretty sure he made the cut for the weekend too. Good to seem some ky boys(wirth, menendez, and smith) do well on the tour this year.

Thanks Nate... you are doing what ESPN/BASS promised to do when they raised the entry fees so much, and announced a much longer tournament season. That is they promised to make the anglers "elite" and household names. If not for you, not sure I would have ever heard of Bill.
Heck, he probably just doesn't yell enough or something.. LOL

Good job bill with your success with the elite series this year keep up the good work. glad to have a local from somerset doing good on the pro side.
Don't forget about Bill Lowen when it comes to local boys. Bill has run the river up here for a while and is a rookie this year on the tour. He has qualified for all 4 this year with a 4th, 28th, 36th & 42nd I believe.
I agree, it's awesome to see that many local guys on the circuit showing why Kentucky is one of the best forgotten Bass Fishing States.
