Get together Bring Alongs????

Ok, the get together is now only 6 days away. It's time to start really getting down to the "nuts and bolts" of the get together... the EATS and DRINKS!!!!

We also need to know how many are coming, or some type of estimate.

We know that in years past, Jim has had wild boar meat to share, I don't think we can count on that this year.

So what do we all need to bring?

As I've said before, I no longer even own a cooler, except the one on my boat, and a little one that holds maybe 6 bottles of water.

I'll start....

I'll bring paper plates, paper towels, and plastic utensils.



I'll also donate some money if someone wants to bring some frozen hamburger patties like you can get at Wal Mart.

FINALLY.... don't forget our need to help little Tony and his sister out!!! Bring a lure, and a $5 donation so we can send an American Express Gift Check to the little sister for being so brave to help out her brother.

REMEMBER.... the donations are purely voluntary. Maybe we can set up some type of little box to collect the stuff in, and you can just drop it off. I'd think it would be great if we could send pictures from the get together to little Tony and a small collection of lures donated. We can send it to the family in the name of fishin.com!!

I have I believe a $100 donation already. I am checking with Peter on that.. I plan on bringing some beef and maybe some deer if I can find some in the freezer.. maybe some pheasant too. Ran out of wild boar and I did not make it to Okeechobee to hunt so I had no Boar this year. (other than Peter) I know I am fired AGAIN!
I will with the $100 pay for the Pavillion, and buy Beef and Drinks. $40.00 for pavillion $20 for Burgers $30 for drinks $10 Misc.
Can someone bring the catchup, mustard, mayo, and Tomato's?

I will be there Friday around noon. Wish Turkey season was still open.. LOL. Will most likely fish below the dam for Cats and Hybrids on Friday.
HEY.. I was thinking about fishing the tourney, but I have to set up... but if anyone is running single.. I might fish till 11AM and have you drop me off if that is OK with the rest of the guys..
OHHHH I almost forgot I guess I need to get the charcoal.. As I recall Ranger Bob had some really GOOD Charcoal.. some kind of hard charcoal .. or does anyone have any ideas..
Can you tell I am just thinking out loud here?

I mentioned that I'll bring the paper plates, paper towels or napkins, and plastic utensils.

I'd offer you a ride, but Silver Horse has the passenger seat and if Darrell shows up and can't get a ride, he has the middle seat.

I think in the other thread, there was about three seats mentioned open. Hopefully you can catch a ride. I'd come down on Friday if I could, but can't afford the drive two straight days. I'm looking forward to meeting you, and most everyone else, in person.


I'm pumped about the get together. I'm even trying to talk my wife into coming. I promised her I would not even fish the tournament if she would come, but I don't think she will.

Thanks for all that you are bringing. Hopefully someone else can bring the condiments, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. If not, maybe I can bring some of those too.

I know tomorrow when everyone gets back to work we will get more replies.

Decent Size Ketchup, Mustard and Mayo I guess and some maters if you can find some red ones..
I am bringing the Burgers.. I am going to Sams so if they have the PRE CUT? ones I will get those frozen on Thursday and use them as the ice in the cooler along with the Frozen Pheasants and Deer Meat.
Any one got a count yet..

I am going to Walmart this morning and getting ketchup,mayo,mustard,onions and chips.

It would be best if someone local to Barren would bring a couple tomatos,as they would be fresher.

Danny, I don't remember real well the directions .... I'm going to have to Map Quest it myself.

I still haven't seen any directions as how to get to the Pavillion. Someone needs to post those.

Help us out everyone. Let us know if you are coming. If you want you can let us know if you are fishing or just coming, but just let us know how many are going to be there. Hate to come up short on eats and drinks.

Franswa.... in his last official act as champ... LMAO... did give us directions from the ramp to the pavillion!! I wonder... will we have an official passing of the seat?? I'm going to enjoy that thing. LOL

Anyway... I'm supposed to go with Rodney this week on Wednesday, but may get stormed out. Either way, from the ramp to the pavillion should be pretty easy, it is just before we cross the dam on the left, and the old guy said we could follow him. Of course he may be humiliated and try to lose us on purpose. LOL

Hey one question, if Darrell, Dew on here, doesn't get a ride, do you mind if he takes the middle seat in the boat? He's a pretty good guy. I'll give you the real scoop off the board though.... LOL LOL LOL

Remember everyone, if you can.... please bring a lure and a small monetary donation for little Tony and his sister. I'd like to take pictures of everyone with their fish, and send those and the lures, along with an American express gift check for the little sister, to Tony and his family.

We focused on Tony's request for pictures and lures, but someone pointed out how painful the surgery was for his sister, and she too lost everything. Let's help her out. Even if we each only give $5, we can get a decent gift check for her.

This is totally voluntary, but I would love to send a nice package down there on behalf of fishin.com. Hopefully we can make some new friends and get them to come tell us about their fishing down there.
