RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
It takes alot, and I do mean alot, to mess up KY Lake. The west side might be a little stained, but I would imagine the east side is fine.
RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
I was not on Ky Lake today but I will agree with Kyle....I would be surprised to see Ky Lake colored up from the rain...now the creeks on the west side can get color just from boat traffic which we will have plenty of this weekend. I was on south Barkley today and the creeks down there had a lot of color to them.

RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
thanks for the encouraging info. rough river lake rose about three feet or more and is in the trees. MUDDY
RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
How long will it take for rough river to clear up? I have a club outing next weekend there
RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
my guess is that by next weekend the water in the creeks and the north and south fork should be in a lot better shape, if we don't get another monsoon. the main lake will become a little stained as they pull some water thru the dam. doubt that they will let much out due to heavy rains downsteam. have to check with corps on that. by next weekend water will probably still be in trees, plenty of debris, and moderate stain. on the positive side, most of the this weekends pleasure boaters will be at home attending to their sunburns. franswa might be able to give a more detailed prediction. good luck
RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
i stand corrected. this morning while driving across rr dam the corps was letting a pretty good flow thru. lake could actually be close to summer pool and in fine shape by next weekend. i have a hunch it will still be a bit above summer pool. good luck
RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
thanks for the info. Do you think fish will be up in the laydowns yet? are they pretty far past the spawn down there yet or are the fish still in the post spawn mode???
thanks,
RE: dave stewart, ky. lake
