This was our third and last qualifier for the year. We want to thank all the boaters who participated in the event, we could not have done it without you guys. This tournament also decided who the L-Raisin' Anglers of UL will be sending to the ESPN Smash-Mouth on Arkansas River. In first place was myself, Erc Hickman Jr with 295 points. We had a two way tie for second between Scott Brown and Thomas Mihaljevic with 290 points.
We had a great first year and we are all looking forward to the national collegiate championships on Arksas River, Lake Lewisville, and Kentucky Lake. For more infomation on these tournaments you can visit collegebass.com & foxcollegesports.com

Thanks to all who participated and helped our club grow! Without you, well...we'd be on the bank!!!
A big thanks to Eric Hickman, tournament director, for getting everything together and making sure everything went smoothly. I still will argue that when a tournament starts at 6:30 or "safelight" that 6:30 is the earliest time for takeoff. The "safelight" means that if it's still dark at 6:30, takeoff will be later - NOT SOONER! Ha ha ha!!!
Also, a big thanks goes out to Greg Paschal, our coach. He's been there for us every step of the way and helping us when needed. Greg, you're the man!
Anyhow, if anyone has any input or ideas for our club, be sure to let us know. We are always looking for public service ideas (Casting for Kids, shore clean-ups, etc.) and are open for any suggestions. We strive to be good representatives of U of L and the fishing community, and at the same time we want to give back to those who help us along the way!

Scott Brown - President

Congradulations to all of you on a sucessful first season. I would have loved to help out more but it seems that every tournament you had was a shift day for me. You can count me in to help out when ever it is possible next season. Best of luck in the ESPN championships.

i was reading up some on the Screaming Eagles tournament that the ABA is puting on. When the 101st airborne comes back they are raising money and tackle to take them fishing. I was thinking that we should try to contact the ABA and see if there is anything that we can do. I am going to talk to bruce cup this weekend and see if he can point me in the right direction. I want to be a boater for the tourney if nothing else. I think it is a really cool thing they are doing and i wanna be a part of it. And i think i speak for the whole UofL team when i say they of there is anything anyone knows of that we could do to help benifit this cause we would be more than happy to help out.
Also i wanna give a big thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend with our tournament i think things went smoothy and we really apreciate all your help. And greg, it was great fishing with you even if we didn't do so hot.

RE: L-Raisin' Anglers Club Results - Barren 6/10
I had every intention, but I ended up being so tired I couldn't stay on the water much after 9:00. The weather was beautiful and the moon was bright, but I was competely wore out! I did fish most of the day on Sunday, hitting a few of the same spots and locating some new ones. The fish didn't cooperate much on Sunday, had a few short fish and lots of short strikes. Very frustrating! All in all though I feel very confident about the Battle of the Bluegrass tournament coming up in a few weeks. Thanks again for all of your help and we'll definitely stay in touch!
