Cumberland River At Burkesville
Planning to go to Burkesville on Sunday and Monday for some trout fishing. Has anyone been on that water in the past few days? If so, what is the water like and what kind of luck did you have? Planning to head upriver to Crocus on Sunday afternoon and down to Marrowbone bottoms on Monday. Has anyone been on those stretches? Thanks for the help.

They bite best when its early, late or overcast. I have the best luck with the smallest model but others have good luck with the slightly larger size. It is a blast watching those trout come up and swipe at the lure. You will get several swipes for every fish you stick. A rooster tail is a good back up lure. We do it all the time, proven method. My brother caught several last week but didn't give me any river conditions. I would guess it is clearing with the lack of rain this week.
