I was planning on taking of work to fish this, but if they don't get the numbers it would not be worth it. How many of you are going to fish it? And what pool? Right now I know of about 5 boats from my area that will put in at Wolf Creek.

This is an honest question from a tourney director to anyone out there who feels like it's not worth it:
If $50,000 for one fish doesn't make it worth it, what would?
We thought we made it worth it by guaranteeing the first prize.

I'm in---probably will see me at Wolf Creek Ramp---not totally sure what days I want to fish where, but planning on at least 3 days of fun fishing for the big 50!
Dude you are guaranteed to fish for $50,000 why would it not be worth it ...big fish over the 3 days is $50,000 How many would it take to make it worth $50,000 for you to fish this tournament?
That's big money! Almost enough to get me to fish for one of the 3 bass in the Oh River. Just kidding, if I weren't tied up that weekend with our charity tournament I'd go for it in a heartbeat.
Actually, if the 50 G is guaranteed for one big fish, the fewer that fish, the higher the chance you will be that one.
So, if everyone else will promise to stay home, and someone will let me use their boat.... maybe fishergurl's kyak, then maybe I'll fish it.

I am going to fish it. I will put in at Louisville one day and Wolf Creek the other.
Saturday there is a 150 boat BFL going out of Rocky Point for those who are planning on going down to Tar Creek. them guys will be seen as far up as Indian. But with us getting out at 6:00 we should be setting in our spots by the time any of them get there.
Is this a team event or does everbody fish from 1 to a boat?
This is an individual tourney but you can have as many in the boat as you like--each fisherman must pay the daily fee.
fishin.com will be posting hourly updates all three days of the tourney.

Today is the last day to pre-register!! We are still taking pre-registration until 5:00pm. Remember if you are pre-registered then you can put in ANYWHERE on the river--you don't have to check in at a weigh site before fishing. Any questions, call Linda Hill @ 800-896-0414.
For those of you who are waiting to see how this one goes and then getting in next year--you could be knocking everyone out of a next year. If the fishing community does not show support for this event this year we will not bring it back next year.
For those who do not trust the integrity of the event, keep in mind that we have put up $50,000 of our own money and we have no interest in giving it to someone who did not earn it honestly. A minimum of 90 polygraphs will be conducted for this tournament. All six hourly winners everyday at every weigh station. We are taking EVERY precaution to insure the integrity of this tournment.
