Hopefully, next to last trailer update.....
Well, after nearly 6 weeks, numersous disagreements, etc., I think this saga is coming to an end.
I have the trailer company on tape saying that they would ship the parts they deem necessary to repair my trailer, paint that matches, and their promise to pay to have my trailer repaired.
I'm now hopeful that within a week to 10 days, I'll be able to report my trailer is fixed.
Personally, I can't wait to get back on the water. I have read that the day time fishing has slowed. I know slopfishin has told me he is about to give up on day fishing for the summer, but I can't help it, I want to give it a try. I remember the last day on KY lake and fishing grass beds well off shore. Surely these will still hold fish. And I think many of the bigger tournaments are now over, and surely the fish have moved back to some of the drops.
And who knows, maybe I'll try some of that late afternoon and early evening fishing I've heard so much good stuff about. Launch around 2 or 3, and come in around 8 or 9.
I hope to see a bunch of you on the water.
Danny
RE: Hopefully, next to last trailer update.....
I've been following your plight for awhile; glad to see it is nearly resolved. One thing I've been wondering, though: is your trailer not covered by boat insurance?
RE: Hopefully, next to last trailer update.....
it would cover probably if you told them it was from hitting something like rough road or something but it will not cover a defective product.that is what i was told when mine had some problems.

To be honest, I did not check on the insurance thing. You see, when the metal below the weld broke, I thought and had agreement from ex-welders, that it was a flaw in the metal. That is something that should be addressed by the manufacturer, not one's insurance.
Further, the whole reason for posting this here is so if others have the same problems, we get this brought to light. This is the type of safety problem that can cause serious public danger.
