RE: when will the stripper pick up on cumberland down by wolf creek
Topwater Striper action in the lake picks up when the water temp hits 65 is what I always found. Last couple of years it has been around the 3rd week of October. Have not fished C Land all year so don't know the water level or temp. Indian Creek and Beaver and Otter is where I would try. Always had good luck around the river channel from Indian to the Dam as well with planer boards if the topwater bite is off. Look for birds and follow the shad to find the Stripers. Never fished the river so can't help you with the Pontoon question.

Where are these "strippers " on C-land. All these years I've been missing out. LOL Just kidding. The stipers usually pick up in nov when the water temp drops below 60
when someone shows up there with a bunch of $1's

RE: when will the stripper pick up on cumberland down by wolf creek
I don't think I would put a pontoon in below the dam. I've been there when the water was low and we had to back all the way off the ramp and still had to drag the boat to the water. It is a 14 foot flat bottom I use to trout fish with so we could handle it ok. If you do want to try it, check the dam release schedule.
Hope this helps.
