RE: trolling motor battery
I buy the biggest everstart (yellow case)available at Walmart. Have had good luck with them. I now own 5 (3 in the bass boat and 2 in the cruiser). I think its about $62 with a core trade in.

I use Interstate, but may switch to Delco next based on all the other threads on this topic.
Look through the archives. There have been many, many of these threads, and one just a bit ago.
Good luck,
Danny

Kreyfish: I have used a duralast group 29 marine battery from Autozone with a 47 lb thrust TM in the past and had no problem with it holding up for a weekend. Good luck, Tom.
RE: trolling motor battery
Thanks for the advice gentlemen...I did find a similar post and have also taken their recommendations as well. Seems that the AC Delco Voyager is a popular choice with many.
I know a little about a lot...but I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to boating needs. Thanks again fellas.
RE: trolling motor battery
Whatever brand you get make sure it's a "Deep Cycle Marine" battery. They are made to be recharged over and over again. A regular battery will not stand up under constant recharging.....
RE: trolling motor battery
H'Don, I'll make sure that it's a deep cycle. That's good info to know. Thanks again!!!
RE: trolling motor battery
I read the other day on hear about Trojan batteries. I bought a couple for the trolling motor but have not had a chance to try them out. I thing they are suppose to be pretty reliable, you might want to try them.
RE: trolling motor battery
trojan is the best in my opinion!!!
