Nolin and Barren tailwater- boatless

Planning to go fishin at one or the other in the morning. Has anyone been to either, recently? I was at Nolin tailwater 2 weeks ago, never caught anything, one good hit on a cat rig w/ blood bait, is anyone still catching cats or has the bite wrapped up for the season?

they are pullin Nolin Hard was there today to winterize my Mobile home ....fished about a hour and a half ...got one really nice spotted bass about 2.5lbs
