rod repair
while going through my gear i noticed the insert has popped out of my rod guide on the tip of my G Loomis. What is the best way to repair. It seems with the 20.00 shipping fee to get it repaired by Loomis. i could get it repaired local or maybe even myself?? any help is appreciated. Thanks

RE: rod repair
Sending to Loomis is BETTER.......
They send you a NEW rod........NOT a repair.....I actually used the expeditor services a couple months ago for a GL3 rod.....
For $50.00, they sent a new rod, and requested the "broken" rod be sent back in the rod tub the new one was shipped in.......They paid insured postage both ways........GREAT deal, and I received it OVERNIGHT.

RE: rod repair
It's real asimple to replace the tip. Just heat it with a cig. lighter or match to remove the old one. Go BPS and get a replacement tip for $1.99, some glue, clean tip and replace. As good as new.
