In the spring we do well on copper colored, in the summer greenish brown. As always the water clearity dictates. Kentucky is usuallly more clear. To be safe, book a trip with Dave. He's the man.
Here are some standards for me, of course there are times that others work also but these are ones that have repeated so many times they have become standard for me:
Shadraps - crawdad and black/silver #'s 5, 7, 9
DT Series Rapala - parrot, bluegill, crawdad, black/silver, grey pearl shad
#'s 6, 10, 16
Bill Norman - rootbeer, white,baby bass, blue/chartruese in deep little n, DD14, DD22
Bandits - rootbeer, rootbeer/chartruese, crawfish/chartruese, olive, speckled back
Lee Sisson - grey ghost, sunshine craw medium divers
Ratteletraps - blue/chrome, black/chrome, black/red, rootbeer, white, copper 1/4 and 1/2 oz.
Hope this helps.
Dave
