Just talked to my partner who fished last night, said they only had a keeper smallmouth-4.10. Took right at 9 lbs to win. Fishing is still slow but maybe it will be a little better Saturday night especially with a couple of hours after midnight fishing going on. Sounds like you might be on a few smallmouth. The time slot for Saturday night may help you even more.
I will not be able to fish this saturday. Its my fiance and my aniversery. I got disgusted last thrusday night, I had ahold of the biggest smallie i have ever seen. A bug bit my leg and i let the rod down for a split second while my partner was netting it. spit my jig as i was making it to the net. I had 2 other smallmouth that night also. One 16 1/2 and one being 17 3/4. WE only had 1 keeper largemouth. But hey, you can win tournaments on WHAT IF. Ive fished 2-3 times per week since april so im takin a break till tuesday. Ill be there with bells on tuesday night. Should be an awesome tournament saturday. Good luck.
