Making Boat Carpet Look New Again????
What is the best way to make your boat carpet look somewhat new again? I don't have any stains or anything like that it just seems to be all flat and could probably use a good cleaning? Is it wise to steam clean it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Call Kentuckiana Carpet Cleaning. If you are in the Louisville, Southern Indiana area Jason can hook you up on a good deal if you just have a bass boat I think he only charges about $75 to $100 with Scotchgard included. He is also a avid bass fisherman. They have the truck mounted steam cleaning process. You can scrub it yourself, but for that kind of money and getting the scotchgard I wouldn't even think about it, plus scrubing carpet can cause damage. Jason has thousands of satisfied customers and is a member of the BBB. There number is 502-935-2205. This almost sounds like a commercial, but I know he's done a ton of boats locally.

Vacuum it out real good. Go to the car wash use soap wash. Then rinse thouroughly until all foam is gone. On any spots you may have use oxyclean.

I mix "Polmolive liquid" or equiv. dish soap in a bucket. Hose down carpet and soft scrub brush everywhere. Make sure to hose rinse real well. Never needed scotch guard.
Always looks new when I get done. Oxy for stains does work great.
