Lowerider has good night on the Ohio!

I got a call last night from the boy;) Seems he is on the river catfishing here in the Cincy./ Newport area.
He had caught some shad for bait early like always but this time he also got some mooneyes.
The Cell call came after a 50/ 40 /30 and several in the teen's on down where landed. I will try to get him back on here soon (he recently moved etc.) I beleive he has pics. also.
"Take a kid fishing" Huh!:-) The kid has been outfishin the Old Man now for sometime:P

what's the easiest way to go about catching shad in the river? Seems like I always end up with a net full of nothing...

If you can locate a sewage discharge area they are usually full of shad. Call your local sewage treatment agency if you don't know where it is.
