I would like some information also on Taylorsville lake. I am heading down there on the 6th till the 8th with my family on a camping trip and would like to get in some bass fishing. Any information on camping or fishing would be greatly appreciated..

talked to a fellow sunday who went up there, said the bite was slow,i would imagine that since they are pulling a foot a day out of it.It was full of debris and muddy,he had to put in at possum ridge.
I was there Sunday tried VanBuren but it was closed had to put in at the state ramp. Water was 69 degrees and I wouldn't call it muddy but pretty stained. Water was very very high. We were floating on top of the banks we usually fished. Boated 4 keepers in 5 hours all on darker colored crankbaits. These fish came in the 4-7ft range. Purple/red, red, and red/chartreuse were the colors. Saw a ton of shad (usually do there) but they are starting to school up pretty good. There were baitfish shallow and as deep as 30ft. From the depth finder it seemed like bigger fish were feeding off of the deeper shad but we couldn't get them to bite. All of the fish we caught were on main lake points that led to creeks. Good luck to you.
