Tough Decision
OK me and some buddies are planning a trip next Friday and can't decide where to go. Cumberland for stripers and smallies, Barren for Bass and hybrids, or Rough River for bass and hybrids. The main reason Rough is in there is because I know that lake the best. So what do you guys think? I looked at the fishing reports, but they seem to be a little stale for these lakes.
Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

RE: Tough Decision
Barren and Cumberland are back to normal pools. Rough is dropping hard which will concentrate fish but may turn them off for a while till they get used to it, or find a place they feel comfortable in with dropping water. Rough got the worst of the storms that dropped 10 inches on Louisville area. (Other than Taylorsville) Check the links on the Rough River Fishing Report to see what the levels are. ALSO the Corps is about to start dropping all lakes to winter level.
Barren is dropping, Cumberland is fairly steady they stopped dropping it the other day.
Just one fishermans opinion.

Jim, by no means have they stopped pulling Cumberland. They are averaging anywhere from 2 to 4 inches per day and will stay at that until they get it down to aroung 688 or 689. It's still at 699 right now plus or minus a fuzz. They are not even close to winter pool at the big C yet. ;)

RE: Tough Decision
I just wanted to say thanks for the info. I feel like a mooch sometimes. I have asked for help several times on this board and seldom have any posts in return. Unfortunately I only get out fishing about two or three times a year. Thanks you to all those who post quality info on the board. I read almost all of it. Now if I could put it into practice more often.
