Patoka Lake
Fished Patoka this past Sunday. A friend needed a partner at the last minute. What a tough day, We fished hard all day and ended up in third place (with two fish!) I hadn't fished Patoka in several years and even though we only caught two keepers, we had a great time, and what a lake! weeds, weeds, and more weeds. great structure too. I will definately plan to go back in the spring. I wish our reservoirs like Nolin, rough and Barren had vegetation like that.

RE: Patoka Lake
May be a dumb question, but why doesn't Barren, Nolin or Rough have vegetation like Patoka? The water clarity is about the same. They both have rocky banks.

Not sure why our reservoirs don't have weeds. Maybe because the water levels fluctuate so much in the spring and fall that the weeds can't get a foot hold. Just a thought, if anyone else knows, please chime in. Also, the tourney was just a small group from bass pro, mainly fishing for bragging rites and a few bucks. I think 1st place took home a little over 300 bucks.
