Lake Cumberland or Dale Hollow Lake?
Gonna be at Lake Cumberland 10/27 - Nov. 01
I've never been to Dale Hollow fishing before and
was wondering if it would pay me to fish there a day
or stay with my original plan on fishing Cumberland.
Is the fishing pretty much the same between both lakes
or is one considered "better" over the other one? I'm
going for Stripers, Walleye and Bass. Using guide Lance
Sasser (out of Grider Hill Dock) for a day and fishing the
rest of the time on our own. Would really like to land a
lunker bass on this trip. If I could get my wife to catch
one as well I'd probably up my chances of doing more fishing
next year...if you know what I mean. I'd really like to
see her nail a big one:D That pic would be priceless. Any help
with choice of lake and areas to fish either would be great.
Thanks,
INDY
RE: Lake Cumberland or Dale Hollow Lake?
Stripers will have to be Cumberland for there are none in Dale. Smallies are better and bigger in Dale and don't have a clue on Walleye for I don't fish for them. Both lakes are clear rocky lakes but the big differences in my opinion is that Dale has deep grass and lots of it and Rainbow Trout are stocked on a regular basis. Dale also has a lot more structure to the bottom than Cumberland, several spots where 5-10 foot of water is right next to 50 foot plus humps and islands are abundant in Dale versus Cumberland. Good Luck hope both of you catch a big one
