Ramp Fees..........
Hey......
I was at Nolin this past weekend, and the ramp we went from had the "fee box", but there were NO envelopes left. We went ahead and fished, but what do you guys think.......
While I didn't get a ticket, it would have REALLY sucked to have received a citation because the envelopes to pay, which I would have GLADLY done, were not available.
Anyone else run into this?
Thanks,
-
RE: Ramp Fees..........
I have run into this before at ramp pay sites, and at Cave Run, where you have to have a ramp pass. I just put a note in the windsheild saying "No envelopes or Passes available" and go fishin'. Have not been cited yet, thankfully, and even seen a park ranger get out and read my note one day before leaving the no wake zone. He got back into his vehicle and went on his way.

RE: Ramp Fees..........
Yeah, I've seen it.
In my opinion, No Envelope No Pay.

RE: Ramp Fees..........
The fee box was gone the last time I put in at the state ramp at Cumberland. I think the Ky. Legislature passed a law to prohibit
state agencies from charging ramp fees.
But I could be wrong....

RE: Ramp Fees..........
The state ramps no longer charge. And unless the corp of engineer's have changed their policy they do not charge from Oct - Mar. BUT THIS MAY HAVE CHANGED !!!!

RE: Ramp Fees..........
I was by myself last month while fishing a tourney at Rough out of Laruel Branch, Corps Ramp, and a friend helped me get my boat in and parked my truck. When I got back there was this white piece of paper on my windshield.
The citation was $65 for not having an annual pass or paying the ramp fee. The citation also stated that I had seven days to either buy an Annual Pass or show proof that I had already purchased one.
I called the number on the citation and I told them I had purchased an annual pass but I failed to hang it on the mirror when my friend parked my truck.
They ask where I purchased my pass I told them then they ask for a phone number I could be reached which I gave them. A couple of hours later I received a phone call. Nolin had verified that I had purchased a pass and the ranger stated that it was taken care of with no problem to please make sure the pass was displayed in the future.
