Ted's Aqua Marine from Indianapolis has a tournament in late October each year on KY/BY lakes for Indiana resident only and typically has 200-300 boats and they went out of Kentucky Dam. I have not fished it in 4-5yrs and my father/I were fishing on our pond last night and he asked me about it.

Ted?s Aqua Marine, located at 4600 S. Bluff Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46217, just completed their 29th Annual Fishing Party held at Kentucky Lake, October 27 & 28. A total of 175 teams, comprised of 350 bass anglers, all Indiana residents, enjoyed the rainy weather on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes to weigh in a two day total of 426 bass weighing 1002.52 pounds. All fish were released alive back into the lake utilizing a live release boat courtesy of the FLW. The weigh in, for this the third largest tournament held on Kentucky Lake each year, went smoothly thanks to the efforts of Jeff and Terri Rude, Jim and Becki Gossman and Paul and Margo Jolly, Directors of the Hoosier Open Team Bass Circuit.
First place honors for the tournament went to Terry McWilliams and Gary Nesty who brought in a two day total of 13 bass weighing 28.33 lbs. Mike Payne Jr. and partner David Leisman took second place with a catch of 10 bass that weighed in at 24.74 lbs. In third place, with 22.93 lbs., was the team of Mike and his brother Billy McDonald. Finishing fourth with 19.70 lbs. was the team of Chris Abrell and Bob Sheehan. Mike and Billy McDonald, the first day leaders with 18.81 lbs., finished third overall.
The first day 275 bass were brought in to the scales for a total weight of 649 lbs. Big bass honors for Day 1 went to the team of Dan and Marie Enlow weighing in a Largemouth at 7.05 lbs. Mike and Christine Coleman brought in the second largest bass on Day 1, another nice Largemouth, which tipped the scales at 5.72 lbs. The team of Bob Scott and Fred Saintago caught the third largest bass on Day 1, weighing 5.55 lbs.
The second day 151 bass were weighed in at 352.63 lbs. Jack Neff and Joseph DeNardo took Big Bass honors on Day 2 with a Largemouth weighing 5.73 lbs. Frank Fritch and Thomas Phifer caught the second largest bass on day 2 at 4.71 lbs. The team of Brian Neal and Greg Lyons weighed in the third largest bass at 4.15 lbs.
All totaled 84 teams weighed in fish during the two days with 35 teams sharing in a total purse of over $32,000 in cash and merchandise. For a complete listing of this years results please e-mail your request to [email][email protected][/email]
