Can someone recommmend which ones to buy?
I want a 7ft one for crankbaits (like bandits and rattle traps)
I want one for jigs (I usually use 3/8 to 1/2oxz jigs) (nut sure on length for a jig rod, any suggestions?)
and I want a 7ft6in one for carolina rigging.
any help would be a appreciated.
Thanks

RE: What Gloomis rods should I buy?
I like the CBR845 for 2-300 Bandits and Traps...It is also good for dd22's and other deep diving cranks.
The CBR843 is good for 1-200 bandits and traps...and other shallow diving cranks.
I love the new worm/jig rods, but I cant remember the model number of mine but it is 7'1" Medium Heavy. Also the MBR843 and MBR844 are good for jigs. The 843 is a medium heavy and the 844 is a heavy.
Not sure on the 7'6" rods, I use those for flipping and in the grass on G-ville.
I c-rig with the MBR843 and MBR844.
Personally I would stick with the IMX, the GLX is a little too brittle and the $100+ difference isnt really worth it. (I have several of each)

exactly what the other guy said. right on the money.

You ought to look at ESOX rods. They are better quality if you can believe that! You need to check them out before you buy. Tell them Jason Roberts sent you and you could get 5% discount It could probably cover shipping.

I didn't realize that was you! I give you call later!

RE: What Gloomis rods should I buy?
I would look really hard at the mossyback series, they are built the same as the GLX. The only difference is the guides and the material is a composite of the GLX. Not as brittle as the GLX which is good for the avarage weekend fisherman. The IMX are great but when you buy one cheaper with the same or even better feel that should not be a hard decision.
RE: What Gloomis rods should I buy?
When you say the GLX is brittle do you mean they are having trouble with them breaking? I am thinking about buying a Mossyback to try them out and if I like them I'm going to buy a worm and spinning rod.
