Boat Restoration... (Onemorecast56, etc.)
I got interested in the earlier post when you folks started talking about the seats. For whatever reason my seats on my Ranger started coming apart and since it was under warranty Ranger sent me brand new skins so that I could have them professionally installed. I was planning on sending the boat back to Ranger this fall to have another small problem taken care of by their re-furb shop and have the seats done as well. Long story short..... it doesn't look like the boat is going back to Ranger after all but I would like to know of someone of very high quality to put the new skins on my seats. Anybody have any outstanding recommendations????? I want someone who does great work and has experience in doing something like this before. My boat is a Ranger 520 if that helps. Thanks in advance.

More info needed. Where are you located? How far are you willing to travel? How much can you afford for this operation?

Marty: Give me a call...has been too long since we talked anyway...lol I think I can make you a good recommendation.

well if you did not have your partner getting the net every five minutes when your fishing your seats might be in better shape...

LOL..... I doubt that..... Maybe, if I could get my partner to keep the DD22's out of the seats, carpet and off my OPTI-Max then that would help. :D:+

Dave, will do when I get second. Thanks man!!!!

Thanks for the info Dave! I have already made contact and got most everything setup with the exception of a drop off time. This recommendation also included a very reasonable price by the way. Thanks again for the tip.

Marty: No problem...I knew Chris would take care of you. It was good to shoot the bull with you again...keep in touch and if I don't get to see you at the Lexington show have a safe winter and don't work too hard.
For those of you who may be wondering...I recommended that Marty take his boat to Chris Erwin at South Side Trim in Ashland. I would have taken my boat there for the upholstry work (seats) last year but with me on the far west end of the state and Chris on the east end I could not make the trips with my schedules the way they are in the winter time. Chris has been in business since the 70's and does upholstry work as well as boat covers etc...he is well known and has a good reputation. Chris Erwin: 606-329-8857
Chris is a pretty good bass and muskie angler also!!

Well I have an uncle who lives in Ashland and he had some seats recovered by this same seat restorer for his pontoon. The work was excellent and looked like they had just come from the factory brand new...Awesome job I must admit.... They will get my business for sure, heck while I'm waiting on my seats to get done, when they need it, I'll just hook up with my Uncle and go fishin in Grayson Lake, located just 30 miles east of Ashland, Ky.....
