RE: Dale Hollow today
Glad you hooked a good one George. Silver Buddy is basically a 1/2 oz piece of lead hooked to a couple of trebles. Easiest bait to hang up and lose and easiest bait for the fish to throw. Sounds like the temp has risen a couple of degrees since I left Sunday. I had the temp at 49 then but with the Heat Wave that has arrive and the continued Heat Wave forcasted for all of next week, I bet they are spawning by Thursday (haha). My buddy Netboy and I will be bringing the entire arsenal next week, FNF, jigs, Buddys, jerkbaits, shaky head, drop shot, spinnerbaits and cranks with about 5 rods apiece plus the FNF rod, 4 different tackle boxes stocked good enough to open a nice size bait and tackle shop alone, for it sounds like the temp will go up a bit more before it gets colder Friday. Strangest December since I have been fishing Dale for the past 3 years. The turnover may not end totally down near the dam until January at these temps. Leaving Sunday to fish each day next week trying to land a fish or two. Save a couple for Netboy and myself over the weekend please.

RE: Dale Hollow today
We notice the Cumberland at the dam on our way home last Sunday looking Black...
I also have a freind whose been striper fishing every weekend since Thanksgiving. He said they are really pulling the lake down hard.

RE: Dale Hollow today
I got a report from Wednesday this week that C-Land still looks black in spots. They caught spots but no smallies.
Verbal report out of Backwaters yesterday said C-Land being pulled 3" per day right now.

RE: Dale Hollow today
They are pulling Cumberland hard, but we are still limiting out on stripers every day we fished this week. We'll be hitting it again tomorrow.

RE: Dale Hollow today
Are you in the creeks pulling boards or bottom fishing. I went Sat. around Wolfe Creek--saw few boats. Water temp. around 58. Pulled boards most of the day--no luck. My guess is the stripers are scattered. I would notice the fish shallow in the middle of the creek as well as along the shoreline with my depth finder. I am planning on spending some time after Xmas fishing for either stripers or smallmouths.

RE: Dale Hollow today
I'm in the creeks but not using any live bait. I've found something that the stripers love. Hooked up 9 times this morning and landed 5...not too bad considering my 10 year old son was fighting the fish lol. We actually had one at boatside that was over 40, but he rolled over and snapped off when he saw the net. We might have done better, but there were several boats in the area that crowded us out of our spot when they saw us catching fish. 2 of them were guide boats. This is the 3rd time that this has happened to me since October. Can you imagine the complaining if you did it to a guide? Glad the fish didn't want live bait today, as they caught nothing in our spot and the 4 boats had a total of 2 fish when we left at 11:30 this morning. We took pictures and released our fish as I have plenty in the freezer already after we limited out last weekend on both days with several over 20. We did get one this morning that was over 25 on the handheld, took a nice pic and released her. There are still plenty of big fish in the lake if you know where to look and what you are doing. My biggest one so far is 51 lbs. The water temp today was 50.5 in the area we were fishing and the fish were very active.
