Is it ever going to get cold and stay cold to get the water temps at Dale Hollow down to around 46-47 and keep them there? By the time they get there, it will be March and they will be heating up again. What a messed up winter we are having. At today's rate, we will use more sunscreen than hand warmers this winter.
Move to Canada, it's cold up there and I bet the F-N-F will work up there to. :P
I know what you mean. Cumberland has leveled off around 50 and Herrington yesterday was about 52...
But you can still catch them......

I for one hate the cold weather. I wish the coldest it got was 60's. With a warm winter it will snow on Derby Day because that is life in the big KY. Go Cards.

Not everything that gets wet is pretty, but sometimes it gets pretty wet.
It's Global Warming. Too many warm days at the North Pole and everywhere else lately. Just saw some pictures of where 40 something square miles of an Ice Sheet broke apart and fell into the Ocean of the Northern Coast of Finnland or Sweden. That's one huge ice sheet that fell of a glacier.
The fish should still be biting even if the water temperatures don't get that cold? Fish still have to eat something sometimes.
Just wondering if we will get an cold weather again down here in Southern IN. I am enjoying these 50 deg F days in Jan.
If the Ohio River ever goes back down I may try my hand at sauger fishing below the Newburgh ****. But that River is a dangerous place to fish expecially in the winter months.
What is up with this weather. Where are the cloudy skies, spittin snow, and all of the other crappy weather you need for winter fishing. Waited all stinking summer for a good F-n-F bite and at the rate we are going we all will be fishing for spawning fish in about two weeks.
wow i have never heard anybody complain about it being to warm in the winter til now, you guys need to use methods beside a float&fly , the weight ins at recent tournaments on laurel & cumberland have been great recently so go fishing & enjoy the weather because it will not last.

Heck i'm fishin a spinnerbait an catchin bass. i love a spinnerbait bite. well this warm weather is nice to be out in an the crappie are alright i had reports of them bein caught at green river lake an rough river other than whats already been posted. well i reckon boys the weather will ethier get worse this week or next week. the cold nothern air will be comin an while i'm strugglin to catch a crappie i reckon you boys will be gettin the big smallmouths. an another question who came up with the float n fly an what lake was it first used on. if i'm correct its been around for years just not as popular.
