Hey guys, I've got a buddy with a birthday coming up. Trying to come up with something that he wouldn't buy himself. That's when I thought of Luckycraft. He's too tight to buy those so I'll get him a couple. Then I realize that I'm too tight to buy them for my own use and I don't know anything about them.
So my question to you is...
If you were to buy 2 Luckycraft lures what would they be?

$30 bucks to spend on which 2 Lucky Craft models????????????? that would be One Rapala X-Rap Shad Color for now, One 1/2 oz Rattle Trap Crome and Blue for early spring, One Rapala DT4 Firetiger for spring, One Bandit 200 Shad Color for Spring and One Norman DD22 for Summer....Oh you said Lucky Crafts, Hate Them (Bought 2 and won 4 more in a tournament for 6 total in my box and I have caught 1 - 12" Ky total on all of them) so this is what my Buddy would get if I spent $30.
If were only buying two of them here are my choices:
Sammy 100 in Ghost Pearl Lemon
Pointer 78 SP in Chartruese Shad
Elwood: I will give you 30.00 for those six Lucky Craft that are cluttering up your tackle box...lol.
The Sammy is a great top-water bait that seems to catch them when other top waters will not.
Dave, I knew you would respond with the Sammy in some color. If I don't have better luck with them this year, I will pay you $30 to take them off my hands and free up room for me to buy more that do produce.

If he's a topwater person, Sammy 100s
If he's a cranker... the Flat Mini DRs are my current favorite.
I used some BPShops gift cards and recently purchased 2 LC baits (just couldn't bring myself to $15 of my own $$$ on a fishing lure!!!). Anyway, I bought the Pointer 100SP in Chart. Shad and the 78DD in American Shad. Looking forward to slinging 'em. I hope I have better luck with them than Elwood.
would agree completly with Dave, with the exception of american shad color if your fishing the pointer, unless your at Ky Lake or Barkley, then I think Dave knows a little something about them two lakes.....:-)
I'll second that thought. I bought a Sammy 100 at Bass Pro with Xmas money last year and used it in a small tournament on Barkley in June. Second time I had fished a Sammy and caught 17 keepers with the top five going 18.5 lbs with a 6 lb kicker. Needless to say even at $15 bucks a pop I own 3 of them now!
#2 would be a pointer 100. My favorite jerk bait.
