Herrington Today
Let home..no rain...got to Claude's it rained...got to Nic Vegas...rained even harder...got to the ramp still raining...got out of the idle zone on the 1st bank it quit,,,,LOL!!!!Git-R-Done...
Lake had come up about 15-20ft from last Sat...Wormin nailed it for sure. The turnover water is now gone below Chimney Rock. Water temp at Chimney Rock 50.3 at the dam 49.9.
It was excellent(weather wise) conditions for the F-n-F. We fished until 1pm when the rain picked up again. We caught 2 gills and no bass this time. Everything is still down about 25-30ft. We hit some baitfish in one area that broke the 18-20ft mark. I tied on about a 17ft leader at one point, but couldn't get anything going. The wind and that long of a leader isn't a good combo.
We actually seen a few shad hitting at the surface close to the dam.
This is my third trip down there. Claude said the water level now is above Summer pool. This rain we willbe getting may crank it up enough to bring the mud down.
Can't wait for the 45 degree water...

Not everything that gets wet is pretty, but sometimes it gets pretty wet.
