Sharpening Hooks
Does anyone know where to buy a good hook file? I've tried Rapalas and one from Bass pro (diamond file) these didn't get the job done. Lowes has some but they're just ok, not great. Maybe just buying new hooks is the way to go or maybe my technique is wrong. Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Sharpening Hooks
What hook manufacture do you use? Are you more concerned with spinnerbait and crankbait hooks? I use Gamakatsu for worm and crankbait hooks and when they need a slight tune up it's as easy as a few swipes across some old sharpening stones from walmart. Just curious....

RE: Sharpening Hooks
I've had good luck sharpening treble hooks with a simple metal file. This seems to work real well for bigger treble hooks and I would not use this with worm hooks.
Rat L Traps' hooks come out of the package kind of dull. A metal file has put a good point on mine... A super sharp treble hook certainly brings more in the boat.

RE: Sharpening Hooks
The best hing I have found is a dremel tool, with thje small stone, you can put back a point on some hooks, on others the wire brush will tune them up just great.
