Indoor Fishing
I have some younger boys (5 and 7)and I'd like to take them fishing in the winter time, but they don't weather well. I have read about some fishing barges that basically have the center cut out and brush piles in the middle so you can fish and be warm during the winter months. Has anyone ever heard of anything like that anywhere in Kentucky?

RE: Indoor Fishing
Years ago the fella that started me fishing as a child, would take me to one of the marinas on Herrington Lake. It may have been Norman's Camp, I can't be for sure. They had these buildings about 20x50 ft and the centers were open with a railing, benchs and walkways all around and across the center. In the center was a big wood stove and cedar trees were hanging beneath the center and both ends. I remember catching bream and crappie and an ocassional bass in these buildings. I'm not sure if they are still there or not, or if anyone has them anymore.
Good Luck in finding what you're looking for.

RE: Indoor Fishing
My family owned a houseboat years ago with a ceter hatch that we fished through the winter months. Worked good. We caught alot of crappie's and eye's through that thing. Maybe some of these marina's may have one you could rent?
