Lowrance 522C
I just purchased this gps/fishfinder. I would like to get a mmc/sd card for this unit, either a hot spots, or navionics. Does anyone have a prefrence on which is better, and are they as great as the websites make them out to be. I do fish a lot of deep cover, and I am hoping that the map would help me find some spots that are not so odvious to everyone else. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I was told the Navionics was better than the Hot Spots, but thats second hand info.

Thanks, I might go over to Bass Pro tonight, and see what their recommendation is.

Re: Lowrance 522C
Look at BPS they have both and see which one you like the best. I like Hotspots better. I have some friends that like the Navionics better. I think that it is a matter of preferance.

Re: Lowrance 522C
I have two 332c units on my boat.I perfer the navionics premium chip in the front unit because it shows more contour detail, especially on the high definition lakes. I keep the fishing hotspots elite in the unit by my console because it has more detail on the channels and creeks,names,bouys,roadbeds,ect.. They're just more clearly marked and easier to nav. by.
I hope this helps!!!
