Goin to Nolin this weekend to Crappie fish. Please Help.
I know its still kinda cold but from what I have been reading you can still catch alot and big sized crappie this time of year. I just was wondering how deep they probly are and where the best place would be to find them. Please help. Thanks alot, Adam

I'd start out fishing about 5' deep and adjust approx. a ft every few cast till you locate the right depth. I fish for crappie all winter long and the depth depends on the day. As for minnows or jigs that's up to you either one will work at the correct spot & time.

Nolin is a pretty long lake, with a lot of different species in it. I've heard that the tailwaters of Long Fall and Conoloway Creeks are good for crappie. Good Luck!

I would try finding some laydowns on channel banks.

I asked the same question last week about Rough River and got a very detailed response that I thought was great from Moose1am on the Indiana discussion board. Check it out for a little more info. We ended up not going because the weather last Saturday was so nasty.
