Ardent Reels
Has anyone out there used the Ardent reels yet? (the one made in the good ole USA) I got to cast one in and it will cast and flip a mile. Not the prettiest reel I have ever seen, but never caught one based on how good the reel looked. It also has a 3 year warrenty on it, and was told they would service it back to new specs for the guts at any time in that 3 years. Got one on the rod at home waiting to go just wanted to know what everyones thoughts were on the reel?
Thanks

Re: Ardent Reels
My regular fishing partner has four of the baitcasters. He let me use one for most of a day last fall and I really liked it. It casts must smoother and much farther than my Curados--and that is saying something. If I ever have to replace a Curado, I will spend the extra money to get an Ardent reel.

Re: Ardent Reels
I have been using Ardent reels since last October and I am truly sold one them. I really was impressed this weekend fishing two tournaments with all the winds gusting to over 25 mph. I was able to throw crankbaits into the wind and not backlash. Ardents have the ability for you to dial up the cast control and still be able to cast farther than most reels. Super Sprint, you are correct about them being pretty. But when the money is on the line, I want to have a reel that is smooth casting, backlash resistent, and durable. The fact that they are made totaly in the USA and back with a no questions 3 year warranty helps. Also I use their reel butter on my other reels and it has made them work a little better..Good luck.

Re: Ardent Reels
I am looking foward to using the reel butter also... I wonder how many ABA members know that they are giving away $500 a month in a drawing to the people who bought one.

Re: Ardent Reels
SuperSprint, don't worry I will let you wear my hat when I get it!  However, I might have to hit it with a buzzbait to break it in! :D
Also, you better consider Revo's!

Re: Ardent Reels
the revos are nice reels, but it strikes me that they are so cheap, guess that china labor does not cost as much. Always heard you get what you pay for. anyone know what the revos warrenty is?

Re: Ardent Reels
