Woods Creek
Hello everyone I'm new to the board and the area. I have a son 9 y/o and want to spend alot of time on the water with him this year. So I need all the info on this lake we can get, also any other small lakes in the area we have not found yet. Thanks in advance:)

Re: Woods Creek
Woodscreek is a very nice lake to fish. Good population of largemouth, big bluegill, and some nice crappie as well. Unfortnulatly I can never seem to find them. I don't fish it like I used to in the past but small plastics used to work well for us and topwater was always a blast in the early morning and late evening. You might also want to look at Lake Linville in MT. Vernon it is about 20 minutes away and right off the interstate. Good bass, crappie and bluegill as well.

Re: Woods Creek
thanks guys!! how big is the lake, how deep,is there only one ramp,is there a horsepower limit ???

Re: Woods Creek
The lake is not that big overall, only about 750 acres I believe. No horsepower limits to my knowledge but be careful. Alot of stickups under the water that you don't see and it is very windy. Lots of boat docks and standing timber and for the most part the lake is not really all that deep, but they are some deep holes if you can find them. Also like Andy said avoid on Thursday nights because of the tourny crowd.
