Native American Burial Ground on Barren
Just saw on the news where some people pleaded guilty or were arrested to digging at a site on Barren River Lake. The site was a native american burial ground. I never knew such a site existed on Barren. Does anyone know where this site is (not that I'm going on an illegal dig), its just the history buff curiosity coming out. I do remember seeing signs at the ramp saying it is illegal to remove artifacts from the area.

I may be mistaken, but I think there is one just inside the mouth of Peter Cr. Acouple of feet out of the water at Winter pool. Right hand side behind the marina going into the creek.

Yes it is that mound right there behind the marina and right off that golf green,it is out of the water at winter pool but when the water is up it is a good hump to fish. Cobra is correct, they get someone nearly every year trying to do this.
