No Taylorsville... I"m Just Lucky
Last week I asked for bass help on Taylorsville, I thought I would have to fill in for a buddy in a club tournament. This raised a ruckus with everyone telling me to go somewhere else or expect a slow day. thankfully His daughter got better! and he got to fish as planned...I don't know how many boats were in the event. But it took 2.002lbs to win and I think only 3 fish were weighed in...(windy, high blue sky's, Taylorsville lake). I never thought being knocked out of a fishing trip would be good luck, but you never know.

sounds like a typical day on the old dead sea.LOL actually it has its moments but you will have more days like one described above then anything. i fished every weekend up until last year because it was close to home now i pay the extra gas money to go elsewhere. i my opinion there is just too much pressure.

If you live in Louisville forget going to T-Ville go to Patoka in Indiana instead. It's an awesome lake and from my front door in the Highlands to the Osborne ramp is one hour ten minutes. Annual out of state license is 35.00. 20.00 boat sticker. The extra cash is worth it to me.
Re: No Taylorsville... I"m Just Lucky
I have never fished Patoka, but I too have heard good things about this lake. In fact a co-worker of mine just went there this weekend and caught a 6+ lb'r...he said that bass fishing was slow in general but none the less he at least caught the biggest bass the HE'S ever caught. All in all, my suggestion would be to not restrict yourself to Kentucky only lakes just because you live in Kentucky.
As for Taylorsville, I live in Louisville and have never been on this lake and quite truthfully have no desire to. Ky Afield had a segment on T-ville recently, they were crappie fishing, from what I could tell the lake looked like a parking lot for boats no matter what direction the camera was pointed in.

Evidently Buzzking wasn't fishing that tourney,LOL. I'm sorry Lord, forgive me and even the starving Pigmy's down in New Guina, LOL.
Re: No Taylorsville... I"m Just Lucky
LOL, nope mark, sounds like it would have been another easy pot to win......Hate on T-ville all you want, I still like it and always will. However, on that note, I just moved to WKY and these lakes out here are in a WHOLE 'nother category

Just joking around, you seem to have a good sense of humor. I hear ya on the Western Kentucky lakes, I envy you there. Kentucky and Barkley are real jewels for sure. Take care and catch a biggun for me.

How sad you all dog on taylorsivlle and there must not been alot lot of boats in that tourn. i would have least pu 6lbs in th boat this time of year. The lake has good fish an hey new lakes you can keep them I'm abouts my kentucky Lake's such a rough, nolin, barren, green, taloysville.
Re: No Taylorsville... I"m Just Lucky
I fish t-ville alot since it's only 20 minutes from me. I had good and bad days out there but I still like to fish it. I'll admit it looks like a parking lot when the weather is nice but that's when I start fishing at night. Caught alot of nice fish you just have to think outside the box a little, and carry a stick of TNT for the tough times. ha ha!:) :)
