Ohio River bass
Hey guys,
I've taken on a new challenge and broadening my bass fishing skills by taking on the Ohio River near Louisville. I went out yesterday for about an hour just to ride around and see what all is out there. I fished one or two spots and only had a hookup on a big ol' gar. Does anyone have any advice or tips for fishing the Ohio around Louisville?

Scott fish in the creeks, get you a map and check out all the creeks within a decent running distance. You'll usually find clearer water and more bass to catch as they hit the creeks for shad and to get out of the current. Current breaks are good places to find the green fish and any rock you can find will hold some brown fish. That ole river will humble the best there is so good luck, but I do know the creeks can be your friend.

Art ,Mark and buzz are right on ,but be careful gettin to far back up the creeks in Ind. without an Ind. license also if you know the Falls area the duck pond always holds some bass and right above silver creek you will find two submerged Rockpile depending on water level...always get some brown fish with rebel crawls there, also right out from silver creek fish behind the old dyke there and hang on stripes will be there to...Good luck Chuck..
