my sons first tourny

i just wanted to think the fairdale fire fighters for putting on the crusade 4 children tourny yesterday because it was one of the best days for me because my boy is 4 years old and he fished it with me. we had two fish and they both died. but they let us weigh them in for my boy. if you could have seen his face when he weighed the fish in it was priceless. it almost brought tears to my eyes. the people who put the tourny on was so nice they made him fill like he was a pro they took his picture when he brought the fish up and when he weighed them and after he weighed them he held them up and they took more pictures. people where giving him high fives he was so exsited he will never for get that day. when we left he called everybody and told them all about the whole day.
so i just wanted to say thinks again for letting me have a special day with my son. it was more then words.

This is cool as heck. I started to fish 4 years ago and love it but love it even more in the fact that I can share moments like this real soon with my son. He is 3 and when I go fishing he ask if I am going to catch a Mall-Mall-Mall Mouth Bass. I have tried to get him to say Smallmouth but to him it is Mallmouth and that is just fine with me. We started watching fishing shows together and he saw a Peacock Bass and now they are all Peacock Bass if they are not Mallmouth. Congrats to both Son and Dad.

did you get a pic of him with the fish for yourself?If not let me know and i'll tell Jeff to hang on to one,maybe you can post it on here.Is that his first tourney?

I was there and tt was a sight to see the young lad carrying both those bass up to the scales with all he could. Sights like that make me smile. Thank yourself to for getting him involved. Can't wait to get my little guy out there with me and experience these same times.

Congrats to you and your son Chuck. You are creating memories to last a lifetime, in addition to creating another angler that will carry on the tradition. Having known you since you were young and the way that you were raised, I am not surprised that you are the kind of father that you are.

I watched him carry those fish up there with the half smile half holy cow these things are heavy look on his face. Just made you grin. Congrats on a good day and getting the little guy excited about the sport....thats cool
