Anyone been to Hardy Lake lately? Thinking of taking the boy down there tomorrow morning (Sat 6/9) and was wondering if there was anything in particular going on. Not real picky about what we fish for, as long as something's going on to hold his attention. Of course, it's always a big thrill to see Dad catch a BIG'UN! :-)
OOPS. I thought I posted one, but it must not have made it up. Anyway, there wasn't much to report. Tough day of fishing after a front moved through Friday night. Only had one little one I picked up off a main lake point with a Gulp in about 10'. Traffic was terrible! It was so busy you had to wait in line to get to a fishing spot! Water was stained and about 75 degrees. Visibility was around 18-24".
I did spot one of the Muskies back i one of the coves. Looked to be about 30" maybe. It was hard to tell. I keep thinking I'm going to have to try for those one of these days down there.
Hardy has also been stocked with stipers and wipers. About the only time I have any luck with them is right before sundown. You will see them busting shad in usually 4 or 5 groups. You'll know when you hook one. Hardest pulling fish I have ever hooked.
