Mine came loose after not even 1 year, but was replaced by the warranty...Some others told of using some kind of really great glue to glue the area's that were coming unglued with....But I can't remember what it was.....
Take your time and go slow when you put it on, it doesn't come with glue, it has a sticky backing that holds it on... Follow directions to the letter also, it will help...Plus if you can get someone to help it will make it that much easier to attach.... But over all I really like knowing that I got some extra protection under the boat when I might need it sometime in the future.
I bought my boat in 1999 and I had the keel protector put on by the dealer. (Southern Indiana Marine). I have not had a single problem with my protector, I have beached the boat when putting in or taking out of the water when I fish by myself. I guess it is as MSG siad take your time and follow the instructions completely, take no short cuts.

I put one on my boat and it has lasted for 6 yrs no problems. I have a "keel shield" brand and it did come with a tube of glue. It is not for glueing the shield itself to the boat ,the backing does that . It is to go around the edge ALL the way around ...after you have put the shield on. Most people just throw that away and then cry when it starts to peel off.
Ah, see mine never came with the tube of glue...Maybe that is why mine started coming apart from the hull.
I put one on my boat last year myself. Take your time and follow the directions close and I do not think you will have problems. I beach my boat at Nolin all of the time on the concrete ramp, when no one is loading or unloading, and have never had any trouble. I helped a freind put one on last year and he has never had a problem. It take about an hour and helps if you have two people.
