Haven't been in a few weeks but this time of year on the big C means night fishing. Fish deep on the points especially secondary points with plastic or jigs. Also you can fish a big thumper spinnerbait as well and get bit. Early at daybreak a Zara Spook might get you a fish or two. Please practice catch and release and Good luck, and watch for the big fogs that can roll in on that lake.
We fished last weekend on the west end of the lake. Caught one small smallmouth on the lake just east of the mouth of Indian Creek and a few in Whipporwill creek. But for the most part there was no action. It seems to me that there are less fish in this part of the lake than last year.
I wonder if the construction work at the dam or the blasting in connection with the building of the Halcomb Ramp or the draw down could change the fishing in this area??
